After my PSLE(primary school leaving exam), I moved on to studying in Bendemeer Secondary school where I met new friends and even friends from my primary school. I don't regret coming to this school because through the 4 years I have learnt a lot, thanks to all my teachers both in band and in accademics. During my first SYF(Singapore Youth Festival) when I was secondary 1, we were quite confident that we were able to get distinction, unfortunately, we were awarded with the certificate of accomplisment. Many of us were very sad and disappointed upon receiving the results. But this did not bring our morale down we worked harder and got our first Limelight in 2016 after people realised our potential when they heard us during SYF. We made sure we performed well for Limelight, to make the audiences that came feel entertained.
When the second SYF was nearing the band did not want to be disappointed again, with the encouragement from our school teachers and instructors, we were very motivated and practiced hard. It was during that year where Bendemeer Secondary school clinched our first distinction, this is a very special year as it is our school's 40th annivesary. Another good news came which is another Limelight performance in 2018. This time our Limelight performance was even better and the school encouraged everyone to come and watch. The hall was almost filled and we were all very happy about it.
